Nestled at the western edge of Hong Kong Island, this two-bedroom luxury sanctuary captures the vibrant essence of Sai Ying Pun's lively streets below while embracing the sophistication of the upscale Mid-Levels above.

A New Definition of Luxury Zen.
As an urban nomad navigating a highly mobile lifestyle, he seeks to create a sanctuary that offers respite from the relentless flux of city life. This imperfect yet deeply restorative refuge distils the essence of his desires—not in ostentatious displays of grandeur, but in a modest, quiet appreciation for the luxury of serenity. Within its cocooning ambience, he discovers not only the physical necessities but also the emotional and spiritual nourishment needed to reconnect with his innermost self. Like the nomadic way of life, this haven is ever-evolving, meticulously crafted to adapt to his shifting needs, offering a sanctuary that grows alongside him.
Contrast At Play.
The living and dining spaces are divided by the corridor. We anchor the dining area with an L-shaped banquette that accommodates four people. The centre of the room features an elegant millwork element that serves as a focal point. When the concealed doors are closed, it resembles a feature wall, cleverly hiding a shoe cabinet and providing access to the kitchen. The slatted architectural language is carried throughout the entire apartment, reflecting the noticeable Japanese influence in Zen philosophy. Venetian plaster has been used for the walls.
The overall palette plays with a high contrast of dark and light colours, embodying the duality of light and shadow. Every millwork detail has been thoughtfully considered. Brass is used as an accent metal throughout the apartment. All furniture and lighting have been custom-designed by us, ranging from the sofa to the dining table. Accent millwork detailing has also been incorporated, such as the rope detailing on the banquette and dining chair, enhancing the tactile quality and unique character of the objects and space.
Artisanal Harmony.
The slatted millwork flows effortlessly into the kitchen, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. Japanese-inspired detailing adds elegance, while artisan tiles create a sophisticated backsplash. Textured granite countertops seamlessly blend style and functionality, with a washing machine and full-sized fridge discreetly tucked behind sleek millwork doors, achieving perfect harmony between beauty and practicality.
A Modest & Crafted Sanctuary.
To maximise storage, we elevate the floor and create a platform in the bedrooms. The bed features a motorised flip-up component for easy access to the storage underneath. Transparency and flexibility were also carefully considered for the master bedroom. Three large sliding doors allow the room to be opened up entirely. A bespoke leather headboard, wall sconces, and a bedside table enhance the space, while linen closet doors add a touch of understated elegance.
The bathroom features waterproof plaster walls, ensuring durability and style. A bespoke vanity unit is complemented by a mirror with face lighting, providing optimal illumination. Custom wall sconces create a warm ambiance, while a Kohler shower set and faucet bring a touch of luxury and functionality to the space.
A Space For Rejuvenation.
This versatile space serves as both a guest room and a meditation area. The motorised flip-up bed can be easily tucked away, transforming the room into a serene environment with panoramic city views, perfect for relaxation and inspiration.
