Celebrating the Legacies of the Lunar New Year
In celebration of the Lunar New Year and as a tribute to the Year of the Rabbit, House of Forme self-initiated a series of red packet gifts for our clients and friends. As a way of expressing gratitude for their continued support and extending our warmest wishes for a prosperous and joyful year ahead.
A set of 18 red packets that features three different unique key visuals, our design takes a twist on the ancient tale of ‘The Great Race’. A story that made the Rabbit immortalised in the Chinese Zodiac and a symbol of good luck.
To embody our commitment to sustainability, each red packet is made in FSC-certified paper and the holder is crafted from recyclable materials.
The Miraculous Journey of the Rabbit
In the times of ancient China, the Jade Emperor decided there should be a way to measure time. He told the animals to compete in a great race - the first twelve animals to cross the river will be rewarded with a year named after them and immortalised in the Chinese Zodiac.
Each animal had its own unique way of crossing the river. The Rabbit jumped from stone to stone before it slipped and fell into the water.
Fortunately, the Rabbit found a floating log and drifted on it towards the finishing line - earning itself a fourth place in the Zodiac race.
The miraculous journey of the Rabbit is perhaps why it is known to be a symbol of luck, elegance, and good fortune.
Eco-Friendly and Ethically Sourced
Wrapped in jeans label paper, an extremely durable material used most commonly on the back patch of jeans. Our bespoke red packet holder was designed with sustainability in mind to ensure a fully eco-friendly product experience that can be reused as a carrier for red packets. Each red packet is tucked neatly into an intricate three-step mechanism that serves as a carrier for all the stories within. The symbol of three hares in gold foiling represents new beginnings, creativity and luck and a blindspot UV effect on the holder mimicking the waves of animals crossing the river.
